Hughes Electrical was founded by Frank Hughes who is a trained electrical engineer. He founded it in Lowestoft, Suffolk in 1921 after the Great War. In 1928 Frank bought its first shop, in here he used to make and sell radios. His family lived off it for few years. After the business was incorporated in 1946, the following year he passed away leaving his children to take over the business.
