Mamaison Hotels & Residences is a compilation of 10 mid level to high level hotels and residences, with a whole of 765 rooms.The properties are situated in big cities in The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Russia.The hotels are divided into three categories: Boutique Hotels, Business & Conference Hotels and All-Suites Residence Hotels. Its parent companies are ORCO Property Group, S.A. a real estate development company, located in Luxembourg and American International Group inc., an American insurance corporation. Distinctively situated in many of Central and Eastern Europe’s most prominent cities, Mamaison provides individualized hotel and suite accommodation which appeals to business, family and leisure travelers for short and extended stays.

Facts about Mamaison

Established in 1991 by Jean-Francois Ott. He purchased his first hotel, the Mamaison Hotel Andrassy in Budapest, in 1999. Residence Masaryk was also bought and launched in 1999, as an expanded stay hotel. In 2001, he acquired the Pachtuv Palace in Prague, and the Imperial Hotel in Ostrava (both in The Czech Republic). The Andrassy Hotel in Budapest was launched in 2001. In 2002, ORCO introduced some Mamaison residences, and the Riverside Hotel in Prague. ORCO also bought Le Regina in Warsaw in 2002. In 2003, Mamaison acquired the operation of Hotel Imperial in Ostrava, from Horizon. Horizon had been managing the hotel beneath a management contract. In 2004, the Pachtuv Palace was introduced in Prague, after widespread renovations. Le Regina (Warsaw) and Residence Sulekova (Bratislava) also introduced in 2004. In 2005, Mamaison started a new construction of Moscow’s first all-suite hotel, Mamaison All-Suites Spa Hotel Pokrovka. The hotel opened on September 25, 2007. Future hotel sites under contemplation are St. Petersburg and Berlin.

Buyers Review

My partner and I stayed here recently from june 21-25th. I will start off by saying the location is perfect right on the river with fantastic views. The old town is not far on foot or by tram aswel as the castle ..a massive shopping mall in smichov and a stunning restaurant called botel matylda just a 5minute walk away. The rooms are spotlessly clean and Margarita our room maid did a fantastic job every day making our rooms look perfect. Everything looks grand and is decorated very tastefully. The bar downstairs is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. Michal in particular was very kind in helping us find places on the map and checking out things for us on the computer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here.
